An excellent copy bound in contemporary half calf over marbled boards. upper hinge cracked but solid, title repaired to upper fore-edge not touching text, complete with double page engraved map of North Holland with inset plan of Alkmaar, and 7 views, all after E. Walsh. Two very minor nicks to margins of text leaves else a clean and bright copy.Provenance and association : From Spetchley park Library although without bookplates or reference marks as such, and with 3 contemporary ink notes to the text, one correcting the text as to which dragoons chraged the French. Notes to G4, K@ and end blank almost certainly by an officer present, probably from the Berkeley family , contemporary owners of Spetchley.
